Hello!
My name is Bruce, and I am finally doing what I was always supposed to do. In high school and college, I was always encouraged by my teachers to write more, especially creatively. I always enjoyed it, but couldn’t find the way to make it something that I could “do.”
I turned 50 this year, and have come to realize that if I don’t do it now, I never will.
What you’ll see here is work in progress. I have a lot to do in order to make my natural talent into an art form, and so I’ll be posting bits and pieces for feedback–both positive and negative. I hope there are some of you out there who will help me. Think of this as my sketchbook, and of yourself as the person who gets to tell me which pieces to erase, and which to expand upon–and of course, when to completely start over.
Once I feel that I have something to offer the paying public, I’ll start to sell short stories, essays, and etc. on Amazon, and hope to eventually build enough skill to write and publish a novel.
My goal is to write for at least one hour every day. I still have a full time job, and plan to for another 15 years or so, so finding an hour each day will be tough. You can expect at least a post a week here–if you don’t see one, please complain.
Otherwise, let’s see where it all goes!
